Products are currently manufactured in Europe and Asia and are sold in several global markets including the EU, SE Asia and North and Latin America. Macroalgae (seaweed) are one of the most exciting functional ingredient opportunities within animal feed, bringing wellness and prebiotic feed performance from natural and sustainable sources.

Role Functions:
- Working within the commercial organisation reporting to the Managing Director, in close alignment with the corporate and global team members, including a US Sales Manager.
- Building business through multiple channels including working directly with end users to generate sales, identifying, screening, appointing, and managing regional distributors and dealers, and engaging with premixes, feed mills and integrated operations.
- The candidate should be comfortable working across different animal species in a highly entrepreneurial and fast paced environment, self-motivated, innovative, and flexible in approach.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify, recruit, and manage new channels to market for our seaweed product range in North America
- Train and support distributors to successfully manage the sales process
- Generate adoption trials followed by sales to key accounts, premixers, feed companies and integrated operations within swine, poultry, bovine, equine, pet, and aquaculture segments.
- Proactively manage stock deliveries and assist the Financial Controller with payments and collections, as necessary.
- Act as a regional product advocate, attending industry conferences and events to promote the product lines.
- Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct of Ocean Harvest Technology by all distributors and others representing the company.
- Keep distributors and customers fully up to date in respect of marketing campaigns, product and application news, and other relevant information.
- Report and update sales forecasts on a bi-weekly basis for the area of accountability
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Animal Nutrition or Veterinarian Medicine desirable
- Specific experience in the launch and sale of functional ingredients or additives into production animals, likely obtained over 8-10 years with an animal feed ingredient company
- Must be experienced in at least one major production animal area (poultry, swine or dairy preferred), but ideally has worked with multiple species
- Strong technical understanding of efficient feed trial design and execution, and an ability to understand, interpret and communicate results internally and externally
- Ability to express technical data in a commercially relevant framework, and to position products to enable simple decision making for the customer
- Highly organized individual, able to prioritize, self-motivate and deliver successfully in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic thinker, able to plan strategies for growth, and to prioritise efforts to deliver results quickly
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, mostly within the US and other designated markets in North America
- Strong relationship manager and communicator, comfortable training, and inspiring others about our products
- Strong IT skills, particularly in communications (Teams, Skype, Zoom, etc), and major Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral English language skills, ability to conduct business in that language
