Business Development Administrator


Our client who is based in Weston-super-Mare are looking for a permanent Business Development Administrator.

The company have an in-house design team and manufacture and sell to a very varied market.  They opened a new factory three years ago and they have doubled the manufacturing space allowing for significant growth in their product range.


Person Requirement
They are looking for a dedicated individual who is able to make a positive impact on their business.

•       Excellent written and verbal communication

•       Experience in building customer relationships

•        Previous outbound sales calling experience 

•       Research and analysis of the opportunity

•       Drive, motivation and initiative

•       Commercial and customer awareness 

•       Negotiation and persuasion 

•       Ability to gain product knowledge to enhance calls to potential customers

Role Details
Using existing systems and your own initiative, you will contact relevant parties to establish new project requirements and potential business avenues whilst maintaining accurate records on the company database to track, update and progress leads to conclusion. 

You will be expected to learn about the company products and put forward key benefits and selling points to assist with lead progression. 

In addition we are keen for the role holder to plan the best ways of promoting our product offering and use their creativity and expertise to think of new ways of delivering their message to the customer.

Key areas of responsibility

•       Identify potential opportunities using existing systems and your own initiative to source new business

•       Initiate contact with relevant parties such as architects, contractors and direct clients to establish project requirements and promote new partnerships

•       Persevere to ensure all avenues are explored to identify relevant contacts and progress leads

•       Promote products through identification of technical features and previous project examples

•       Monitor opportunities via Tender Portals and ensure relevant criteria is selected for project identification

•       Work with the Sales Manager to ensure efficient handover of leads at the appropriate time

•        Enter and maintain accurate and detailed records on company database

Salary up to £23,000 dependent on experience.  Company bonus scheme, company pension scheme. Hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
