Change Recruitment are currently partnering with a fantastic Housing Association in Bridgwater (Somerset) to manage the recruitment of a Housing Officer on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
You will be reporting directly into a highly experienced and knowledgeable Housing Manager who will provide support and guidance to you. You will be responsible for ensuring that tenants are paying their rent and adhering to their tenancy agreements in line with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Create an honest and supporting relationship with tenants that ensures they take responsibility for their homes and tenancies and get the support they need, when they need it
- Establish networks in your area of operation so that tenants can access resources to help them make the right choices
- Manage empty homes and get new tenants into high quality homes as quickly and effectively as possible
- Work closely with the repairs team so that homes are properly managed and tenants are safe
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of £25,000 plus essential car allowance, pension and a range of other benefits.
Due to the volume of travel involved in this position, it is essential you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will also be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
