One of our clients in the FMCG sector is looking for a responsible Purchasing Manager who will be monitoring the local market and liaising between Head Office and the Purchasing Department in Italy in all related matters.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting in management of products, in compliance with the company’s principles and standards when it comes to quality and procedures;
- Supporting the Purchasing Department in Malta and in Italy in the development of purchasing strategies;
- Assisting with the selection of new suppliers of food products;
- Supporting with the development of promotional activities and negotiations;
- Constant definition and control of selling prices;
- Monitor and analyse market trends;
- Supporting with the development of seasonal business;
- Constant communication with other departments and with the international purchasing team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics/Marketing would be considered an asset;
- Fluent in English language mandatory and fluency of Maltese language highly appreciated;
- Italian language knowledge would be considered an asset;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel;
- Previous experience in a similar role of at least 2 years;
- Available for business trips even overseas.
