Sales Estimator - Flooring Retailer

Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a well established Family owned and Managed Carpet and Flooring Retailers with their search for an Estimator / Sales Person to help with the sales activities in their Fabulous Showroom (located in South West London TW) and in Customers Homes.

They have an excellent reputation for the friendly way they operate and supply and fit all types of Carpets and flooring. They are now seeking a person to effectively and accurately price up the increasing number of works they are engaged on.

The role will briefly involve:

• Formulating quotations, liaising with suppliers and negotiating discounts to enable customer quotations to be priced as competitively as possible.
• Able to take off dimensions from drawings for commercial enquiries, measure, plan for waste and formulate an accurate Estimate either in store or customers homes or premises if a commercial client.
• Sales in the Showroom offering great Service and advice on the best available products etc.
• Handling incoming enquiries over the phone and via email, organising Fitters Diary to ensure fitting times are prompt for customers.
• Report confidently to senior management weekly on results achieved. 
• Liaise with suppliers and managers as required.
• Working Weekends as required.

The ideal Estimator will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Wealth of knowledge and personal contacts within the flooring industry.
• Possess the skills required to digitise and analyse flooring plans and be experienced within the tendering process for commercial and Domestic Works. 
• Good communicator, PC skills necessary as will be updating databases and Spreadsheets daily.
• Sales Focussed, capable of bringing in new business and have existing contacts in the trade.
• Team player.

In return you will receive a negotiable (Fixed) basic salary in the region of £35000.
