Our client who is based close to Weston-super-Mare are looking for a Finance Manager to cover a six month contract period starting in June.

The purpose of this role is to control and maintain the smooth running of the accounting system and bank accounts.

Key Duties:

·         Process payments, ensuring all elements are accounted for, including maintenance of fines, allowances and deductions. Post transactions to accounting system

·         Resolve queries regarding statements

·         Process expense claims onto accounting system, ensuring in accordance with policy, appropriate authorisation, tax treatment and analysis

·         Raise invoices and follow through to receipt of payment for warranty claims

·         Assist in the planning of cash receipts and payments

·         Plan & control foreign currency movements with hedging recommendations

·         Reporting and control of invoice finance ledgers in accordance with bank requirements

·         Review customer credit limits and flag potential risks with recommendations

·         Month end reconciliations

·         Sales analysis and supporting financial reporting and presentation

·         Assist in monthly management accounts & Board pack preparation

·         Assistance in year end and audit

·         Involvement in projects as required

·         Cover for Management Accountant

Skills / Qualifications Required

·         Experience of hands on financial control

·         Strong Excel skills

·         Experience of working with Sage 50 or similar accounting system

·         Positive attitude and desire to improve systems and processes

·         Attention to detail & accuracy

·         Working knowledge of VAT, including EC application

·         Professionally qualified or qualified by experience

Essential
·         Reporting and control of invoice finance ledgers in accordance with bank requirements

Moderate
