Our client, a trusted manufacturer, is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join their team in Bridgwater. The role will support the procurement team with quotation of goods and materials to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an electronics manufacturing environment catering to the aerospace industry.
- To assist in the procurement of goods as specified by a customer’s bill of material, ensuring correct quantity, best price, and timely delivery.
- To assist in producing quotations against customers bill of materials.
- Resolve any delivery or quantity issues in an efficient manner to prevent any delays
- Negotiating and building relationships with suppliers
- Liaising with all departments within the company
Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 17.30 Friday 8.30 – 3pm.
Competitive salary of £20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience.
