Assistant Manager -Accountancy Practice

Our client is a modern, proactive and forward looking firm of accountants, tax and business advisers and they are currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join them either in their Burnham on Sea or Weston Super Mare office.
Responsibilities will include undertaking and planning assignments and managing or assisting others in the management of year end compliance requirements including statutory accounts and tax returns.
You will be accountable for a portfolio of clients / jobs, managing yourself and others whilst also being heavily involved in the business development of the office and Firm.
Ideally (although not essential), the successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Previous Accountancy experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager
Excellent people management and technical skills
Outgoing and socially confident
Analytical and conscientious
Self-sufficient and detail conscious
